1984 GMC sierra pickup, sometimes when I go to start truck it will not do a thing. I can turn key to start and nothing happens. Battery is good. Than I can come back out 30 minutes later and it starts right up?????

That would require following a wiring diagram and test while the problem is present. An intermittent bad starter is pretty common.
