Isuzu Rodeo vibrates at higher speeds Sign In

'94 Rodeo w/122k miles runs great on surface streets. When i reach around 65 on the fwy I get a slight vibration, but it doesn't lose any power. I don't think it's the engine, but I'm not sure. Went to Firestone and they did a wheel balance and rotated the tires. That didn't solve it. Any Ideas?

The items that can cause this are the balance of tire and wheel which has been done, but also brake parts that spin with the wheel, and a balancer will NOT detect a square wheel but can balance it.

Tires and wheels can be flawed and hard to see. Also the brake rotor may have rust making even a well tightened wheel go a bit crooked.

I think the solution may be found with all wheels in the air and spining them by hand and looking for anything out of round or tread problems with a tire.

In that the problem didn't change with tire rotation I'm thinking a brake problem with the wheel mounted could be the problem but needs careful checking out as I said to really get to this. A tire will wear into a problem and be fine if so and will react when rotated but you said your problem didn't change so that for now should be ruled out, T

just wondering could it be a suspension problem. like maybe the alignments off or a bushing worn out. maybe the nuckle on the a frame. i know they will do someting to the affect of a viberation.
