settling an argument...
Engine oil flushes: One tells me, "If you have an engine with a lot of miles, don't flush the engine oil" Cause, sometimes the sludge is whats holding an older engine together, (seals, and such...)
Another friend says, "best thing you can do!"
What do you think?

Just an answer: "Don't" Instead just change oil out more often - even way too often and let it slowly work. If there's active problems right now and you know it has sludge you should try to reduce it slowly. Fast flush can throw chunks of junk and "86" what's left of chances for an abused engine. If sudged the abuse is there. If there was just a quick way to solve abuse then taking care of a car along the way would be a waste,
