I bought a new skoda RS (gasoline) and it is still in break-in period. (500km into 1500km period suggested by manufacturer). Most of the time i drive it nicely but today i wanted to test the power and pushed the pedal to the max. I think i saw a bit of thin dark smoke behind me but i am not sure. Is there a possibility i damaged the future performance of my car doing this inside the break in period?

I haven't seen a "break-in" mile/km listed in mega decades! So be it.
It may also suggest to change out the original oil for what it will live with after that??

If so it's abrasive "break-in" oil so follow that.

You should be fine more worried if (look as they don't do this anymore) if you dump the oil that early,

Hey, the manual does not say anything about changing oil after the break in. it just states that oil usage might be a little higher during this period.

Should i change it anyway?

I'll say no harm in an early change and would, filter all checks as it's new see if there's anything wrong now.

That oil had like a baby powder of something engines self-polished up them self with initial use. Some things rebuild may not plain new of anything I know of.

Idle speeds were lower new than later without doing a thing but that first oil change.

I SAID ages ago few exceptions it would clearly say to do it if so.
Rebuilds I don't know, new no. Done with it since perhaps the 1960s!
