Leaking Gas tank Sign In

I have a Chevy s10 1997. Is there any temporary fix/patch work I can do to stop my gas tank form leaking. I know it needs to be switched out as soon as possible. But just something to get me through the week.

Re: Leaking Gas tank Sign In

Just a temporary patch? Maybe: Ask or look for it like a paste but know it will not really work on seams, fuel necks, the ring and seal of fuel pump and gauge sender.

If rusty many will rust up high or at fuel necks - so common almost in stock all the time or quickly available strong on the after market as well.

FYI just take my word for it that if rusty you won't win at a tank seam or up top of tanks. Many are not all that costly just a pest dealing with fuel if there's a lot in the tank if only where to put it for a longer term fix.

A hole for some reason can usually be fixed depending on just what and how,

They make a 2 part putty that is designed to use in wet situations but repairing a rusted fuel tank rarely works.
