I ahve amazda 929 1994 and it is 'bucking' when idle.If you suggest a Fuel filter problem then can you say where is the filter/

Its very possible that its choking while idle because the fuel filter is plugged up.... best bet is locate the fuel lines under the car and follow them into the engine compartment, normal a set of 2 or 4 lines running together under the driver side.

Also it doesn't hurt to pick up a Haynes manual if you plan on working on your car. These books give basic information as to where to find a fuel filter or how to change your brakes.
