Okay so on saturday night i had a flat battery and the RACV told me it was a split cell battery and needed to be replaced. so i got it replaced After it has been replaced the car isnt running properly. when i accelerate now the car gets into 2nd gear and gets upto 4000revs and then stops accelerating and only revs.. untill you take your foot off the accelerator and it will change gears. also when on the freeway you get upto 100 and the car changes into the correct gear.. it then wont stay at that speed.. it loses speed and then will change back up a gear. Before the battery problems these problems did not exist.. i have had RACV back out here and he didnt know what was wrong and wouldnt confirm or deniey any problems. Anyone able to help??? thanks

I dont know Madza automobiles but most/all modern cars when battery power is lost, memory has to be relearned for different things like shift points,idle..etc Most can be accomplished by driving the vehicle is certain type drive cycles per manufacturer. And some require having to be "relearned" with an advanced Scan tool that would mean it has to go back to the Dealer or qualified repair facility. Check with your Dealer service dept and see what needs to be done to correct this. Thats my take on it Hope it helps Jim
