2005
Toyota
Echo
1.5L
200 000 Km

The engine chokes a little bit when i start it. The real kicker is when i start accelerating. It does this chocked sound while i press the gas pedal. A mechanic told me that the car is totaled. I changed the transmission oil AND the motor oil. Still it does the choking. Maybe the gas pump not sending enough juice?

You mean changing the oil didn't fix everything? I'm shocked.

Listen to the mechanic. The motor is junk.

Well okay he didnt say it like that.. He said if it was parts of the transmission that are scrapped, it would cost me like 2000 $ so I might as well send it to it's death. He said, if it's not that, then your car is fine.

So any ideas ?

With the noises coming out of that car it's time to look for a new one. Sounds like a bad rod knock.
