No fuel pressure after new fuel pump Sign In

Ok the issue is he's working on a car He did the head gasket as well as a new fuel pump and filter. It is an 04 toyota highlander with a V6. He was not getting any fuel flow to the motor, as he checked the line. He took out the injectors and cleaned them and blew them out. Then he checked the fuel line closer to the tank. There is no fuel in that line other. So he blew air through all the fuel lines. He said one was clogged but he cleared it. But there is still no fuel flow to any of the lines. He replaces the relay switch still nothing. The car is not throwing any codes either. He also lifted the back seat to make sure it was still connected to that connection and it is. He is out of ideas, do you have any to offer up?

What was the reason for head gasket? What is the history on this?

Has your mechanic checked for power and ground to the pump using a volt meter? Sounds to me like there is a lot of guessing going on. If you have to ask questions for your mechanic, maybe you should look for another shop.

Who is this "He" person and why doesn't he figure it out?
In the mean time if fuel was starved to new pump that apparently wasn't the issue but just done anyway for some reason it probably burned out the pump from running dry.
Just how did that happen with a head gasket job?
Sounds like time to put the old one back in that probably didn't have a problem at all?
