Oil Pressure Light Sign In

Hi, All- I'm trying to figure out what is going on with my 2002 Mazda 626. The "low oil pressure" light comes on when I brake and am turning left. It only comes on at that time. Not even turning right, it has yet to do that. I am stumped. This began just recently. Other symptoms- I have had problems with oil levels going low after about 5-6 months. I know there could be a leak, but I'm trying to figure it out. The oil level is currently just fine.

Re: Oil Pressure Light Sign In

It sure does sound like a symptom of low oil level if the pressure light is coming on when your turning or braking.

Don't mean to make you feel dumb or anything, but how are you checking the oil level?

Is this a 2.5L or 2.0L engine?

It should have been changed before that.
