Olds. Alero Start Problems

I've been having problems with my 2003 Oldsmobile Alero (2.2 L V4, 45,000 miles). Most problems are reoccurring such as stalling when using turn signals and just not starting. The car frequently doesn't start in the morning, right when I need to go to school. It's been at the GM dealer for weeks. They replaced the fuel pump initially, didn't help. They replaced the emissions computer, luckily under warranty, didn't help. They say they have isolated the problem somewhat and now they want to replace the ignition switch. From what I read, it seems like a likely candidate but I'd like to be sure. When the car doesn't start, I get all kinds of weird thing happening. Commonly, the door locks lock themselves multiple times when I put the key in, as opposed to after I start the car, like they should. I also get an buzzing sound from what sound like the relay box (we have replaced the fuel pump relay twice, to no avail). I have also had instances where holding the key back from its resting position (between start and on positions) after turning it to start has helped it start when it had just died the previous try. Thanks in advance for your help, I really need it!

It definitely sounds like you have some connections issues going on there. The ign sw is a very likely culprit. If you already have plans to do this, then go for it, it might just solve all your problems ( well the problems you have talk about here aleast)
