Just found this site... it is very cool. I have tried other online "advice" sites. Some are pay services, some are free.
Any thoughts out there about using pay for services ? Are they better, worse, the same? Can I trust the information just because I am paying for it?

what pay site do you work on ?
Given your experience with both, what do you think about the people who answer here, versus the people who answer at the pay site?

when I say that I mean, do you think that there are people who are just googling answers, or people who are not really qualified to be giving answers? either here or the pay site?

Usually if you see a poster that has quite a few posts, they are usually pretty fair to good at diagnosing or helping the person that has the problem. Both sites have the same type people. Some want to be the major player on the sites. Some of the major players are very good and deserve the respect. Some are just post jumpers that try to get an answer first to lock the post. So, I guess I am still saying the same thing. Do you want my answers for free, or do you want to pay me??? I go to about a dozen sites, including pay sites. I spend more time on the free sites because I do not have to compete with someone that is looking for more money. If I wanted to make more money, I would spemnd a lot more time working on cars instead of sitting here answering your question. Rersearch is your friend on these forums. Glad to see you looking for options. Would you mind giving the pay site? You can PM it to me and I will look into it and evaluate the site a little for you.
