I have a 1986 F-150 (351) with a 4 barrel carb... What I want to do is change from 4 barrel to a 2 barrel with out messing with the intake... is there an adaptor or some kind of change out plate? I know I ccan get them to go from 2 barrel to 4.... but the auto parts sites I go to are not clear and I am not sure if I can get one or not.. ANYONE?? Can someone help me please?

I’ve not seen an adapter like that but doesn’t mean there isn’t one; check with your local speed shops they’ll be the people that’ll be able to get it, if available. But if you’re thinking that this will give you better fuel mileage you maybe quite surprised that the two-barrel may end up delivering more fuel then a properly functioning four-barrel. The two-barrel will be taxed to its max during mid to wide open range and if the carb can’t flow the air that the engine wants it’ll dump fuel. Yes the four-barrel can and will deliver more fuel but also a lot more air; if you can keep your foot out of the bell housing and not flooring it all the time I would spend my money on making the four barrel work the best it can. The power lose by going to a two-barrel may also be something you’ll regret. Just my opinion. Dan. Canadian "EH"
