My 01 Pontiac Aztek is running hot still after replacing thermostat, water pump and heating sensor. The coolant is being pressured back up through the reservoir tank until it overflows but the coolant is cool to the touch. It seems as if the coolant is not being allowed to pass through the engine. There is no water in the oil nor water/steam coming from the exaust pipe.

First, make absolutely sure that you have gotten all the air pockets out of the system. Other than air in the system, you may have done some damage to it internally like a head gasket or cracked head from previous overheating. I have deleted your other question. There is no need for duplicates. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
