Propotioning brake valve leaking Sign In

HI,
I have a 1995 Honda Civic EX 1.6L V-tec with 350,200 miles. I had a proportioning brake valve leaking when I extended the push rod a little thinking that I could brake a bit higher in position. I was told that that provoked that problem so I positioned it back. I had the proportioning valve repair and after about six month the valve is leaking again. Is it possible that the rod is not fully back in position or is the valve defective that has been worn and can not be repair?

What you did will cause the brakes to build up and hold pressure and eventually not release but it will not cause leaks in a proportioning valve or anything else. I would be blaming the 350,000 miles instead.
