I've got a Saturn sl2, 01 with a lot of miles. This is probably a silly question but I'm going to ask. I've got bad fuel economy, high rough idle, and some pretty bad exhaust. I posted earlier about my thermostat and noticed the pvc valve was loose and pops out the top of the motor with no resistance whatsoever. Also, the back of the engine is pretty wet with oil and it LOOKS like it's coming from the other end where the tube runs into the back of the motor but I'm not sure. Is it normal for the pvc to sit so loose on the engine? I didn't notice any plastic ring. Is it vital that it fit snug?

Please keep all these issues in one thread.

I'm closing this one now.
