Hey, we just bought a ford mustang today and it was fine when we bought it (used) then, 6 hours later the ticking noise started and stops when the car is put in reverse, and then starts again when its put in drive again. We are freakin'. Did you find out what was wrong with your mustang, and how much? Oh, also after the 6 hour mark 2 lights have come on , abs and one that looks like a battery with an x through it, oh, and it had an expection sticker on the window when we bought it, the man was kind enough to warsh the price off the window and now the current, and supposed valid inspection sticker is mising. Yes, we know red flags!!!! The seller won't answer his phone either.

Good grief ! I dont mean to be rude ,but, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING. I have seen this happen a zillion times . You prob have been duped . The time for second thoughts is before writing the check. That said , the noise could be a lot of things ,we need more info ,ie eng size, type trans, mileage, etc. You need to try and narrow sound down ,,,,,,,under hood, inside, front end , rear end ,change with rpm--will it happen if you power brake? Or is it road speed ?Help us help you. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
