I have a 2003 Olds Bravada and it eats brakes like candy. It eats ball joints, too. I love the truck, but I'm seriously thinking I need a vehicle that doesn't need ball joints and brakes every 9 months to a year. I know this is a heavy vehicle but Lordy!

Moved this post to be its own thread and please don't just add to another with your issues. Old thread was from 2007! OK - Eating joints is mostly because you are not greasing them enough, at all, lousy parts, submerged in water some? Use marine grade grease on good parts and do it every 3,000 and they'll last. Brakes go often too? Frozen calipers or pins and again possibly from being submerged in water or jus time to do them with quality parts including hoses this round, T
