Rear Pinion Seal Leaking Sign In

I had a professional replace the ring and pinion in my '68 Chev Camaro. It is a 10 bolt with the small gear.. Whenever I drive the car, after I park it, rear end fluid puddles on the floor under the rear yoke. I have replaced the seal three times and it still does it. My first thought was a clogged rear end vent, but I removed the protective cap and blew compressed air through the tube with the rear cover removed, and the path seemed to be unobstructed. No fluid seems to leak out when I drive the car, just after I park it, and most often after a long drive. It doesn't seem to leak just driving down the street and back. The car has an Auburn posi unit, with 3.73 gears. Please help!!!

Re: Rear Pinion Seal Leaking Sign In

Without being there to see it, its hard to say whats going on...

But if a professional installed it, take it back to him and let him look it over.
IT sounds like the problem is isolated to the pinion flange/seal area..
Remove it and inspect everything...
Preload set correctly?
Pinion angle ok?
Are the seals damaged?

Just thinking out loud here.
