Rebuilding clutch master cylinder on 98 Honda Civic

Hi y'all.. and thanks for any and all help.
So, I'm trying to rebuild the clutch master cylinder on a 98 Honda Civic. 4 cylinder. I'm stuck at that inside piston. I don't know how to disassemble that piston or getting the rubber cups off of it.
What got me to this point was the car wouldn't go in by to gear.. it was like trying to change gears without clutching. (The guy I bought it from didn't tell me he was having to bleed it every few days.) We checked the lines and fluid level, they were good. We tried to bleed the lines but my this point the fluid wasn't flowing thru and only a few drops came out. We replaced the slave cylinder with a new one. Still didn't help. So we are trying not to rebuild the master cylinder and can't figure out how to get that inner piston apart and/or the rubber cups off.. and that's where I'm stuck..
I'm going to attempt to upload a picture of that piston because all the videos and searches looking for help I've been thru today, I haven't found the same exact piston.. this is my first time here so y'all cross ya fingers for me plz.

Why are you even attempting to do that? Nobody tries to do that any more. Just go buy one that was professionally rebuilt. They have the tools, equipment and knowledge to do it right.

! Just FYI and have to ask also. IDK because rebuilding at least a master for brakes isn't allowed where I live - ages so don't ask. No rebuilds of 99% of hydraulic things with such high failure rate getting a hone and new seals to ever work again is/was futile IMO.
Few standard shifts so toss that in nobody would get anywhere what are all those pedal for - :-)
I've only come to learn whole sets, master, hose and slave can be had for many less popular than this car is highest of any list for parts lots of choices and strong guess super cheap or reasonable.
This defeats fussing with the rebuilding thing - just outdated never mind rules it doesn't make any sense.
So that's at least most of the reasons you aren't getting it to work the rest is many are just a pest to bleed the first time use of pressure bleeders or vacuum if you have it should work like it should indefinitely but know they don't.
GO new and take the questionable stuff out of this repair/replacement,

Thank you :) I really have no other choice right now. I guess, as bad ass I hate to, I'll have to wait till pay day. We're scraping by trying to make it, as it is. I just hate bumming rides to work and every where I need to go. It's been a month now.
I guess I was just determined to get this car back on the road.

I understand your position but wasting money on something that isn't going to work doesn't resolve anything.

I re-read what you and Tom said Hammer.. it makes sense to me, now.
I guess I had tunnel vision for a bit.
It made sense before. But, it was one of things that will just eat my up.. I guess I've been working on it to long. I need a break. Thank you Hammer. And thank you Tom. You all have an awesome day.

I understand the $$ thing. "A DIME is too much if you only have a NICKEL" but doesn't work so nothing gets done. It was maybe 50 years ago had to rebuild a brake caliper (4 piston) was rare so only way COST SO DANG MUCH for rubber parts it was shocking! It worked also took mega hours granted some better tools would have helped or ruled it out to redo at all! There's the trouble.
Sorry for the $$ of it the end game is that it's not going to work is the high chance find some "plan B" for the fix or transportation at all!

Thanks Tom. $$, unfortunately, is the end game to entirely too much in this world but it is what it is huh?!
I appreciate you and Hammer taking the time with me and pounding (for you Hammer lol) some sense into me. I was on a mission and I had done sank so much $$ into trying to fix it that I was thinking I'd save myself some by rebuilding it. Smh.

- Donna: An idea even I don't like so much: Do you have a "Salvage/Junkyard" that allows you do go pick your own available? ASK up front if you can search for entire system that is known to be an exact fit. Been a while but have and this old (98 is old now) a lot was around could tell huge last ditch parts and $$ put into a lost cause or wouldn't be there.
Was able to find about new stuff on ancient but popular vehicles just ask up front if you can get this for FREE! Place I dealt with did just said only cars in this section were going to be squished with what was left anyway.
Last expense would be new fluid isn't costly is a must.
No harm in asking if that's available at all? Good luck, Tom

Normally I'd agree with shopping for used but this particular item would deteriorate substantially sitting out in the weather for what could be years before you get it. The moisture exposure alone would kill it.
I just checked Rock auto and they have half a dozen choices under $20 and one for $10.

WOW! That's low. The few times I was hunting (one local place gave me an open ticket to pluck) found cars just in NOT ones where glass already gone or there long. Just luck find one somebody had given up on, stickers showed miles and dates and junk on the inside. YES - that one.
Place is on a 3rd generation has sold off 80% of all land as LAND/SPACE alone was so costly couldn't keep stuff vs selling out - a problem stocking anything where I am junk or new stuff in stores OR warehoused?
