Shaking and Putting Noise Sign In

I have a 2000 Grand Am recently I notice that I was driving my car without oil. There was oil in the spark plugs and burnt the spark plugs out. I recently changed the spark plugs and the oil sensors and now my car is making a putting noise and is shaking. Please help me!!

Did you stop the oil from getting to the plugs? Has the check engine light come on? If yes, have the codes read and post them back here. Also engine size will help. Thanks.

It is a 2.4 engine. The plugs has been replaced and the check engine light is on. I have a mechanic working on it and he can't seem to find what is the problem. Please help if you can!!!Frown

Re: Shaking and Putting Noise Sign In

You also stated that you drove it without oil. Was it completely empty on oil, or was it some quarts low? If it was completely out of oil, you could have done irrepairable damage to the engine. Dis your mechanic give you the trouble codes from the check engine light? Need the code numbers. When you changed the plugs, did you change the coil boots? Post the code numbers, and not what he tells you what it means. Thanks.
