What is the socket wrench size needed to remove the bolts from the caliper bracket on a 2004 Nissan Maxima? (Not the pins with sleeves)

It's scaring me that you are even asking and doing brakes! If trying to remove bracket it's probably (I don't know every bolt size out there) a 16mm or 18mm which frequently are left out of sets. Nothing in English sizes will do so if a mm up or down doesn't' fit right it's the # in the middle,

Its 18.6mm and make sure you get the left hand socket not the right hand one. Getting hard to find so may have to call around to a lot of different places.

I can't remember on Nissan, but I do know that Nissan uses 10,12, 14,17,19, and 21 mm on all of their nuts and bolts. You can measure the bolt head to find the actual size.

Your correct on the sockrt size Nick . But it would be cheaper to get a ambidextrous socket rather than buying left and right hand units.

Wow! 18.6mm. How special and I don't own one. Not sure what the motivation was except picking some size that can't be faked yet again. Just like the 5.5mm. Tell me why for automotive use anyone needs to fractional millimeters unless to tamper proof something or tool makers are corrupt.
Done with this as said all along but if one came along that exact size I know with a mountain of assorted sockets and wrenches that a worn 3/4 worked,

They just wanted to keep people from being able to fix their own stuff. To top it off its a 12 point head so a 6 point won't help at all. SnapOn used to sell them but seems to have discontinued them I think due to a patent infringement thing.
