Speedometer Lights Not Working Sign In

Hello, I have a similar problem as this fellow here for my 2009 Toyota Corrola:

http://autoforums.carjunky.com/Automotive_Repair_C1/General_Discussions_F5/Instrument_Cluster_Problem_P102198/

I first noticed one night that my speedometer and tachometer lights did not come on automatically as it usually did when it's dark out. Turning on the headlights did not cause the speedometer lights to turn on either. The backlight of the stero lcd display works, but i noticed when I turn the headlights all the way on, the lcd backlight actually dims.

I did not find any blown fuses.

Could someone please elaborate on how to check the wiring from the referenced thread, or give some other ideas? Thanks!

Re: Speedometer Lights Not Working Sign In

That thread was pretty self explanatory on how he found his problem.

He wiggled the harness. I wouldn't really expect to be that lucky though
