Hi I have a Citroen C4 1.6 Flair hdi blue SS, 2 year old still under warranty, on the odd occasion on start up it starts and sounds like a tank for 2 seconds shakes the car then cuts out, then starts again fine and smooth it’s becoming more frequent I’ve been told it could be the fly wheel sensor? Dealer has checked it out and can’t find a problem should this show up on a diagnostic check?

Key note is it's under warranty this is THEIR problem. If you do anything it becomes YOUR problem they can blame you for messing with it. Yes there should be info via computer code reading(s) where to go looking for the problem. Just beware of the "I heard that it could be XYZ something bull." If they know that easily then let them take full responsibility for dealing with it as the new car dealer should, T

If it's truly a sensor problem it should register a code somewhere but only if the problem is electronic. Most noise issues don't register a code. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks I haven’t tampered with it but it definitely does it and dealer tells me there’s nothing showing on diagnostics but think am going to become a nuisance.

If they (dealer) are really blowing you off because they can't find it and it's real there is recourse you need to take if they are really stubborn about it look in papers/owner's info that came with the vehicle if need be or first try again but speak to a person higher up at the place for the complaint it's NOT fixed. If no luck you have a battle on your hands what you can do about it legally by local laws? Can't know that hope it doesn't take that, T
