I replaced a starter just purchased on e-bay (new). The old starter sounded High pitch and spinning. The car was almost going to start before it went to a click- I have the new one in and the top connector is loose and the wire a bit frayed I wrapped it with tape and stuck the connector in but a little loose. NO START, Should I replace the wire and connector or is it a fuel problem?

Try again with this. 1st what the heck is this thing? Loose frayed wire isn't going to be fixed with tape on anything. Also - best to change your user name not using an email address or you are a sitting duck to get spammed to death, T
