I need to know what type of scan tool you need to check the temperature of the tranny fluid for the proper fluid level

That requires a professional level scan tool. They start about $4k and go up to over $100K

As HT said usually it takes a professional grade scan tool to get those PIDs.
I personally didn't use the DIY readers, I had a cheapy to read & clear codes and a S/O for everything else, BUT I have noticed the DIYers are coming out with a lot more info and PIDs now a days.
If all you need is a tranny temp PID, read thru the product descriptions of the higher end lower lever scan tools (if that makes sense) you may find what you are looking for

I tried to use the hacks you find on youtube to check the tranny fluid and if its correct and I did it rightit would seem that I have way too much fluid in the tranny, but im not sure

How does the temperature of the fluid tell you what the level is?
