Truck won't start

I have a 1990 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton pickup truck. It is a 2500, 4WD, 350 engine. I had a problem with the truck dying at stop signs and stop lights. Then when I got home from work the truck wouldn't start. I have bought a new battery, had the alternator checked(it is fine), I replaced the tensioner on the drive belt, I replaced the distributor cap and rotor, put in all new spark plugs and spark plug wires and still it will not start. It acts like it wants to start but just wont turn over. I've also checked the starter. I am at a loss what else can I do? Can anyone help? Pam

Hi Pam. When you say it won't start, is the engine turning over and not firing up, or is it a no turn over? If it turns over and not starting, the battery is ok. You need fuel pressure, spark, compression, and injector pulse for the engine to fire up. Post back so we know exactly what is going on with this. Steve
