VW Golf 03 squeaking

I had the gearbox and clutch replaced in my 2003 VW Golf last year after I went over a bump a little too fast... My gearbox was stuck in third and the mechanic noticed my car was scratched underneath and after further assessment discovered I needed a new gearbox and clutch. Ever since the replacement my car squeaks when I get in and out, driving on the road, even when I'm moving off in first. I took it back to the mechanic and he sprayed some lubrication on it which helped for about 3 miles. Does anyone know what the issue is and roughly how much it would cost to fix? Thank you VW Golf 2003 1.4L 38,000 miles

I would think it would be a suspension component or a mount and not the gear box. If you hit the bump that hard you may have damaged more than just the gear box. Have someone keep pushing down on the front end and see if you can hear where the noise is coming from.
