1993 Nissan Quest, 35,000 miles: we have an older van, which will not start. The headlights come on, but nothing else. The battery has plenty of juice. However, when the key is turned, there is no clicking or anything else. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Couple things to test/try: If there's no sound when trying to start it could be a battery cable connection with minimal effective contact that when starter is requested gives up. If that's the case lights (any) would also go out. Leave a door open or map light on for the test. Lights can work thru a lousy connection, starter will not. Try a jump start anyway. Try putting the vehicle in N instead of park as it may have a faulty neutral safety switch and might work in N vs P - a maybe. There could be lots of other faults to cause this but these would be common for a beginning, T
