I recently bought a used 1996 honda accord ex. The car started out leaking oil from the vtech solonoid valve, and i replaced the gaskets there and stop the oil leak. Later i find out that it is still smoking after i got all of the oil residue off and that it is an antifreeze based smoke I bought a new radiator cap (the old one had a section broken off of it by previous owner) and i proceeded to idle the car for 45 minutes. there was a bubble about every 3 minutes, but the main problem i saw was the thermostat never opened, it just kept spilling antifreeze over the floor for the whole 45 minutes. when i rev the engine, it does not shoot out, but it does bubble. Im trying to figure out if replacing the thermostat would fix the white smoke, or if it's already down in car hell. I checked the oil and the coolant and they were both clear as well any help would be greatly appreciated

There are no good results when you have coolant being burned. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
