Winterizing your car for the cold weather can save money, as well as keeping your vehicle off the side of the road in the dead of winter.

a few other things:

Make sure battery terminals are tight

and clean. Check radiator coolant strength with

a hydrometer. Recommended protection

level is -36 degrees. Never check hot.

Check oil, brake, transmission,

radiator coolant and power steering fluid

levels. Follow owner’s manual directions.

Inspect tire wear. Check pressure

with a gauge when tires are cold. Refer

to owner’s manual for recommended air

pressure and tread depth specifications.

Drive safe!

Yes this is very important because your car is more likely to break down in the winter. The cold weather makes things more susceptible to breaking. I know my alternator went in a snowstorm and believe me that was a fun drive home and even more fun trying to change it. Anyways I hope your car survives this winter.

Hello to all im new here just joned up".
those are some great get ready for winter blahs..Tongue tips metionianwebSmile
i my self do almost all those things you mentioned and change to a lighter viscosity
oil like a 0w30 synthetic if i can find it in stores or if not 5w30 and lastly that know one
probably ever thinks of keeping in the trunk off car is a bag of sand that will be your friend
when you get stuck on iceSly believe me it does work i have had to use it and it got me out
highly recommend it it .
