I replaced the wiper motor, but wipers still do not work. A while ago the wipers slowed to a crawl. The situation seemed to improve when I had to replace the battery, but now there is no movement at all in the wipers with either the new motor or old.

I am assuming that my steps will be to (a) check both motors to ensure that they work properly, (b) check to see that I haven't blown a fuse while replacing motor, and then (c) check to see that there is power to plug. Is there anything else that might be causing the problem?

I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent. I've removed the old wiper motor (wipers weren't working at all). Now the crank arm won't come off the old motor. I've tried prying it off, and have got the nut removed, but the arm itself is on pretty tight to the old motor. I'm just wondering how much force I can use to pry it off, or if there is a special trick to removing it.

Everything else seems to be pretty straight forward.

Thanks for any advice!
