Hi all, I've just driven my Y reg 1 litre corsa (90,000 mileage) on a short trip. At first there was a dragging sensation straight from the start of the journey, and limited accelaration in all gears. When I got it home about 5 mins later, I left it to stand for another 5 mins and now the engine won't turn over. The starter motor turns, there's a spluttering as though it's about to fire up, and then it just dies. Any ideas before I book it in to get looked at, as if it's a simple fix I can ask my dad to pop round with his toolkit! I've had this car from new so am aware of all its faults to date, and keep it well maintained. I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks, Emily

You may have to tell us - Does this use a timing belt and if so it that up to date and miles? If it is that and is off the correct mark but still on engine it would first have poor power, low compression and any more off exact wouldn't run or many can damage valves. I'd check on that if a belt and if it hasn't been serviced, T
