first of all hi! im new. secondly, i just had my rear wheel bearings tightened, drove about 3-5 miles and im smelling a strong scent of burning plastic. now ive tried to pinpoint where it smells strongest but its been windy all day, the strongest scent i get in inside the car, in the back seat. now its like 0-10 degrees outside so i havent tried to look under the car yet for a plastic bag, so i figured id see if anyone knows exactly what this may be. i talked to the mechanic who did the bearings and he said they were greased properly and were not tightened too much but then again (dont hate me for this) it was pep boys.
