Two things: If the steering wheel is locked and there is tension on the front tires due to being turned, on an incline, or rubbing against something. The force can sometimes not allow the key to be turned in the lock cylinder. With key in ignition try to turn key while putting pressure on steering wheel. First in one direction and if no results try in the opposite direction. Check the key for cracks or chips. In the rarest or chances something may have ended up inside the lock. A very small piece of metal or dirt can jam the cylinder. Try vacuuming or blowing with compressed air into lock. If all else fails try spraying Triflow to lubricate the pins inside lock cylinder.
