I have a 2003 pontiac sunfire. i want to get a cherry bomb glass pack from this site http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product?storeId=10101&Pr=p_Product.CATENTRY_ID%3A2006458&productId=2006458&catalogId=10101 because it is not an overwhelmingly loud one and i am told i would not get stopped because it is not loud enough. i just need to know what size i would need from the list on the site page. thx [;)]

I suggest leaving the OE exhaust intact. The OE stuff lasts a long time and there's more involved in exhaust than many years ago. It is integral with the operation of the engine with known back pressures for best performance which might be reduced by altering it. Original is probably welded into pipes and cutting it out and fitting in anything could be a real hassle.

If you must - measure the inlet outlet of what you have and match it up - count length and figure in any angles you may encounter too,

like tom said for that engine and car, i would leave the OE exhaust system in place until needed replacement or repair. and then if thats the case i would look for a aftermarket "cat-back" system. makes a much cleaner and easier install then trying to patch and weld in universal pieces.
