Search this forum this category all forums for All words Any words Whole Phrase (search options) Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Car Troubleshooting scottymac2014 New User Dec 13, 2013, 12:45 PM Post #1 of 3 (1554 views) clio problem 1.2 Sign In hi i recently bought my car and it was fine,then an engine light came on and the car was stuttering,well anyway i ran my diagnostic kit through the computer and it was a code for a faulty thorttle body and a low fuel one, i replaced the throttle body with a fully tested part but the problem is still happening.the spark plugs were pretty dirty and the engine sounds like it has a misfire, what do you think it could be ? thanks oh i forgot to say when the revs go up and down after a few minutes the car cuts out but then once i restart it it will run but still like rubbish,also when i put my foot down it feels as though its going to cut out sorry for the long read DanD Veteran / Moderator Dec 14, 2013, 7:33 AM Post #2 of 3 (1518 views) Re: clio problem 1.2 Sign In Sorry I haven't worked on a Renault since the early 80s after they pulled out of Canada. You can do the stuff you have already tried.....Take care of any overdue maintenance issues....Those need to be done anyway... Almost sounds like you may have a vacuum leak......Check all the vacuum hoses for cracks or breaks.......You can get a can of throttle body cleaner and carefully spray around the intake area to see if it has an effect on the way the engine runs......If you get in the area of a vacuum leak with the spray the engine will usually raise up in rpms and might even run a bit better for a second or 2....
