coolant leak 02 buick Sign In

I have a 2002 buick lesabre with a 3.8 V6 and there is a small coolant leak under the throtlebody where it meets the intake. It will drip on start up then stop, you can't really see where it's coming from being buried under the throttle and I'm asking if anyone knows what it might be,whats under there before I start taking things apart, thanks.

Coolant can leak from the throttle body gasket or where the upper intake meets the lower intake right under the throttle body. There are coolant passages that run through the throttle body and upper intake. Most the time you end up having the replace the upper intake manifold. While your there you should also do the lower intake gaskets.

If the coolant leaks into the intake manifold, you could hydrolock the engine.
