Heater blowing hot? Have you checked for combustion gases getting into the coolant system? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Scan for codes - even if light is off. Is fan coming on? As suggested any evidence of head gasket issue- coolant in oil, oil in coolant, Maybe check spark plugs, and those coolant/combustion gas test strips.

Yes, it sounds like typical head gasket issues, probably caused by an earlier overheating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Yup - sprays out coolant in 3 miles and redlines - super strong indication of head gasket allowing combustion gasses in, T

A slipping water pump impeller is difficult to diagnose but it is a concern on this vehicle. The plastic impeller has a steel center which is pressed on to the water pump shaft. Sometimes the steel center insert cracks which will let the impeller rotate under slight load such as idle but then slip when the rpm's increase.
