Me and my brother both have the same trucks , Dodge , 1500 , single cab , 3.7L engines. His truck turns over soon as you touch the key as to where mine makes 3-4 revolutions before ignition. His also has a little more pep than mine. Why is this and how can I make mine like his. Also the trucks are 2004 models.

Can't speak for the difference in "Pep" but try holding you ign key in the run position for a couple seconds before engaging starter. Bet it fires right up like the other if you do that. Yours might not pressure up quite as fast or well and may have a weak fuel pump. Pressure testing it would be a good idea,

Thank you Tom Greenman , I've tryed that with no luck. Do you think his truck could have came with a more advanced timing ignition. If so how do I advance my timing in a computer controlled ignition system?

I'm guessing but this is probably a fuel delivery side issue - not timing. Fuel pressure may be dropping off quickly by some fault not enough to show much yet. Injector leak down, pressure regulation (don't know where that's done) ..

The feeling that one truck seems more powerful than the other is interesting. Could be unseen details like tires, load in truck, or perhaps a different gear ratio that came with one have a towing package or something not seen right away without looking into it,
