2004 toyota celica vvti 1.8 16v 80000 miles hi there my celica has been playing up, my digital dash wont light up, nor any electrics, apart from the horn. the car start, run perfectly but no electrics work unless i bounce the engine off the limiter then it works, but as soon as i turn on anything electrical, eg. wipers or heat blowers the dash goes off, aswell as all the electrics, any ideas please:)

That is a strange one. Could be a connector, ground, or power problem. When those items aren't operating, check for power in the fuse box at the fuses for those components using a volt meter. Has there been any recent work done on it prior to your problem? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Agreed.....that does sound a little bizzare.... Start with the basics............Have the battery tested, clean the terminals & all grounds real good...

i have checked all fuses but not with a volt meter, i have put a new battery on it, replaced ground wires, cleaned terminals, it has had a total head rebuild recently but it was working after that. just stopped one night when i was about to go out. i think im gonna have to bite the bullet and send it to an auto electrician, it baffles me. thanks for the help though guys, much appriciated:)
