Air bags are nothing to fool with; get yourself a repair manual that covers this procedure; read it and memorize it; especially the section on how to properly disarm the air bag and protect yourself. You’ll also need a few specialty tools; steering wheel puller, clock spring compressor to remove it’s retaining clip and then a grounding strap to attach to your wrist (or whatever) to discharge any static electricity. Just sliding you butt into the seat could build up a static charge; if this static discharges at the air bag it could set it off! Is it worth doing it yourself? Dan. Canadian "EH"
