engine cranks slowly

I let my 96 Ford Windstar (192,000) idle for about 30 min. during a recent ice storm. The heat/defrost was on high. I drove to 2 different places and shut off the van each time. It started fine each time. The 2 trips totaled about 20 min. On my last stop I shut off the van for about 5 min. and when I went to start it it wouldn't start. I tried several times to start it but it would only crank over. A few times it would start but before I could put in in drive it would die. During these sessions I would let several min. pass before trying. I thought that perhaps I had triggered the fuel pump shut off, but I had not. Also there is a engine reset button on the key ring, I pushed it and still nothing. Now the engine cranks over very slowly. We did a voltage drop test at the battery it tested fine. Now the engine won't crank over at all. The battery is only about 2yrs old. Is it possibly I did damage to it when I let it idle for so long? The motor doesn't seem like it's locked up.
