I have a 2003 ford Taurus 2.0 it has just started but every time you try to pump gas into the car it lets about 2 to 3 cents pump them it kicks the handle off like it does when you fill the tank. I have put stp gas treatment in before trying to pump I am stumped what do I need to do before taking it to the shop. I have tried to pump at 3 different places and it does it at all the places. I thought it might be the station but not at three places. its like its blocked or something

Could have an EVAP issue such as a stuck closed vent valve or some type of EVAP restriction in the lines going on. Is the check engine light on? If so, what code number(s) is stored? It might not be a venting problem though because you can only pump in 2 to 3 cents. That is strange. It could be something blocking the fuel from passing freely to the tank in the filler neck. Someone is going to have to take a look at it. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
