hi i have a 2002 gmc envoy .can you tell me how to adjust hand brake,to is to loose, hope there is a adjustment. bobw

Before you attempt a cable adjustment take a real look at the parking brake which I think this model uses a small drum brake inside rear brake rotor. There have been troubles there with the holdown clip and these shoes which should not really wear out tilt and get trashed by themselves. Bet that's the problem and it takes the hardware kit to prevent that from just happening again. Actually if it's just like one I dealt with just pull on cable by hand and watch how far the cable comes out - the problem was happening to left rear parking brake. wrong clip was used when new if so,
