I have a 63 fairlane with a 302. Car ran fine all winter and spring long with no issues. The other day it was 95 degrees and after about 50 miles the car started to sputter and die. The car at first would turn over but no idle, then i waited 15 min, sprayed some starter fluid in the carb and it fired right up. Today once again it was hot out, and the car did the same thing, i had to wait and spray it again and then limped home. The car did not seem to be overheating. Fuel line? Vacuum line? Thermostat? any advice would help. Seems to only happen when egine gets hot. thanks

You might be getting a vapor lock. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
