Please help. I can't turn the key in the ignition(it does not turn at all, not even to the accessory position). This has happened before, but every other time I was able to get it to work in a few minutes. My car has been stuck like this for two days, and I need to get to work tomorrow. If anyone knows how to fix this I would be very appreciative.

Jackie, Is the steering wheel locked? Try turnig the steering wheel so that it becomes locked, then try to turn the key. Also try turning the key while turning the wheel. You can also try pushing the key in and trying to start the car, some times cars having key locks and you just need to play with them a little bit. Good Luck, Let us know if this worked...

The steering wheel is not locked. I've even put a little WD-40 in the ignition switch, but that hasn't helped at all. I've also tried using both sets of keys with no success. more info- The car is a 99 grand am, with over 150,000 miles on it. I had it completely checked out at 140,000 and there were no problems at that time. The only other current problem is that one of the oxygen sensors(i believe it is the downstream one) is bad and needs to be replaced.
