when i shift into park sometime it wont let me shift to any other gear and it doesnt even show that iam in park in the dash indicator if i move the shifter around after a few minute the dash show i am in park and i can shift normaly will this be a expencesive repair or can i do it myself

Many cars won't shift out of park unless brake is applied. It usually is sensing the brake light switch so make sure brake lights come on when you hit the brake. If intermittent you will have to catch it when broken. Some cars have a shift override button or some gizmo but if brake lights I'm sure you want those to work. I don't know about your shift indicator but you can rule out the brake light thing and that should be a DIY possible job for many folks, T
