hello over the last week I have noticed iam losing water when returning to car over night. ive been topping up water as needed. I still have heater in car working fine so don't think its thermostate, a friend had noticed that there was air in the water and ran car for 5 mins with cap off to release the air . after this I noticed car wasn't losing any water for couple of days but started again, any advice would be welcomed . thank you

This car not sold to US so limited to the basics: Shouldn't be air in a cooling system ever unless you've just worked on something to do with it. Water alone if you meant that is OK for a short time to top off but problem is there lurking - think hard about using antifreeze mix till solved and not just water if so. For this I would do or have tests done for a blown head gasket now even if running well now, T
