refer to your owers manual if its still in the glove box. the procedure really depends on the 4wd system your truck is equipped with. i am a little paranoid with that and i ALWAYS come to a complete stop before i engage and disengage my 4wd. my ranger has electronically shifter 4wd and they say its "shift on the Fly" but i dont chance it. i used to have a Jeep wrangler which had a manual transfer case. (there is a shifter like the transmission on the floor) and you had to stop the truck and sometimes roll in reverse to get the 4wd to engage. so in summary, i feel its always better to come to a complete part before engaging. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
